Portable Rock Crusher (19th / 20th Century)

"Portable rock crushers were in commonly used in industrialised countries from the early 19th through early 20th centuries.
During this era when mechanical steam power was widespread, these crushers used an idler belt from a traction engine or portable engine as shown.
These machines were often made from very heavy duty cast. Weighing multiple tons even for the smaller designed machines. The constant torque crushed most material into an 0.2"-1inch aggregate size, which was often suitable for railroad or road basing.
Unfortunately, these machines came with a historic bloody past, resulting in many injuries and delimbing's "
